Big Buck Bunny tells the story of a giant rabbit with a heart bigger than himself. When one sunny day three rodents rudely harass him, something snaps… and the rabbit ain’t no bunny anymore! In the typical cartoon tradition he prepares the nasty rodents a comical revenge.

Really awesome, especially if you think how un-intuitive the program sometimes is. I wonder how much more time has been spent in this film , compared to if it would have been done with XSI, Maya or 3D Studio Max.
The team has been very lucky to have had the main programmer on board who could point out all the more or less hidden features in the program to get the more complicated things done.
This film may encourage every Blender user not to resign but go on as they ARE amazing possibilities!

There’s no need to erode pixar for this to be good, as it’s quite well done on it’s own. To compare just leads to better and worses, not what you really like.

Blender supporters are showing people more and more that its not always the price of the application, but the people using it. As a hobbyist I can only dream of doing something this cool one day. Love both of the open source movies and hope to see blender used in more full featured films in the future.

    Jei
